What is all the hype about meditation? It is common knowledge that meditation has a significant amount of mental health benefits. Although I cannot tell you anything from a scientific perspective, I can tell you how it has benefited my life.
I believe that when we meditate we become further aware of the ripple of the universal vibration that our own life energy creates. We are all beautiful pulsating vibrant energy. Meditation helps us to connect with our own energies and make conscious and purposeful changes. Meditation helps us connect to great truths that are within ourselves, within our hearts, to let go of the pain we carry, to surrender to a universal power that is far greater than ourselves, to seek guidance from our angels in the stars.

"If you want to find out who you really are, if you want to understand the very reason of your existence, meditate."

One of my most powerful meditation sessions:
I was meditating in the middle of the day. It was summer time. I was sitting on a bench at the end of the bed, the sun shining in through the window. I sat there, breathing in and out calmly while clearing my thoughts away.
Every meditation session is different, some more intense than others. You cannot predict what will happen. The visions are like dreams. What your mind and the universe projects before you, is what you see.
Once my thoughts were fully cleared, my mind empty and the large repetitious breaths I took became an autonomous flowing pattern, I began to visualize a light smoke in my mind's eye. The smoke cleared and I could see the bench beneath me had turned into a metal folding chair. In front of me there was a group of five people sitting in chairs just like mine. We were all sitting in a circle like a support group.
The people sitting inside of each chair were all me. Each person was a different version of myself. I remember my astral being feeling as if I were in tears while sitting in the group, each version of myself silently leaned in as if they were listening intently for what I have to share even though I could not speak. I looked around the room at each version of myself, all possible outcomes of who I could be. I looked at their honest faces. I could see the care in their hearts through their kind eyes. I felt heard.
In the presence of 5 different versions of myself, I felt overwhelmed. I began to cry, and then exited the vision still crying.
I will never forget that vision. I will never forget what it was like to sit in a council with 5 versions of myself, knowing that I am the one. It made me feel empowered.
I still meditate routinely. It feels really good once you start experiencing all of the benefits that come from meditation. It is freeing, and uplifting.
Once you begin the journey towards unlocking your inner self, whether it's for improvement, curiosity, or healing, there is no turning back. Accessing the empathic nature of the universe and connecting with the powerful wisdom of your own energy is one of the most validating affairs of the human experience, and if you haven't even begun the practice of meditation, I promise you this; you are missing out.
